Product Details
Product Details
Our Seeded Rye is a lighter, tin-baked loaf crafted from a blend of dark and light organic rye flour, enriched with sunflower and pumpkin seeds. The result is a bread with a gentle density, moist crumb, and nutty undertones that linger on the palate.
The seeds add texture and depth, balancing rye’s natural earthiness with a subtle sweetness. Baked slowly in tins, this loaf slices cleanly, making it ideal for open sandwiches or serving alongside hearty stews and cheeses.

Our Customer Questions
Is Seeded Rye heavier than other sourdoughs?
Rye naturally creates a denser texture than wheat, but this loaf is intentionally lighter thanks to the mix of light and dark rye flours. The addition of seeds and tin-baking gives it balance — hearty yet approachable.
What makes sourdough different to normal bread?
Sourdough is naturally fermented using wild yeasts and bacteria — no baker’s yeast or additives. This process creates complex flavours and improves digestibility.
Is your sourdough gluten free?
No — but many people with gluten sensitivity (not coeliac) find our long-fermented sourdough much easier to digest as the fermentation process naturally reduces the gluten levels within sourdough bread.
Can I freeze your bread?
Yes. We recommend slicing before freezing so you can defrost slice-by-slice. It reheats beautifully in the toaster.
How is it packaged?
Our bread is delicately wrapped within a cocoon of organic cotton muslin, ensuring long-lasting freshness throughout the week. Leave this bag with the rest of your packaging and we will collect, clean, & reuse for future orders.
How fresh is the bread when I receive it?
It’s baked the day before your delivery and sent directly from our local bakery. Fresh, never frozen, and ready to slice.
